Software Manage your E-Disk flash disks and solid state
drives with ease using BiTMICRO Networks" line of software solutions. With these
tools in hand, you can maintain optimum file I/O performance in mixed storage
device systems, modify the E-Disk® flash-SSD"s user-programmable features,
monitor the drives" performance and statistics and upgrade the E-Disk® solid
state drives" firmware to the latest version. |

E-Disk® Manager
The E-Disk® Manager is an
advanced Flash Disk Analysis Development System used by hardware,
manufacturing, firmware application and field engineers to diagnose,
configure and update the firmware version of the company"s E-Disk SSD and
E-Disk Altima solid state disk products. Even customers will be able to
benefit from using the E-Disk® Manager as they are able to modify E-Disk®
user- programmable features, monitor its performance and statistics and
upgrade E-Disk® Altima"s firmware to the latest version. This storage
management software allows users to manage multiple E-Disk® product models,
whether they be ATA / IDE, SCSI, Fibre Channel or U320 interfaces.
The E-Disk® Manager is also key to diagnosing even the most complex problems
in design laboratories and in the field and has therefore given BiTMICRO®
competitive advantage in the area of customer support and satisfaction.
E-Disk Manager offers the following functionalities:
Download Microcode - allows the user to upgrade to the latest microcode
version
Sanitize - BiTMICRO-specific command that offers higher security by adding
fill operations to the data erase operation
Read defect (in tabular and graph form) - BiTMICRO specific command is used
to get bad block information from the E-Disk flash disk. It returns the
defect count, the bad block addresses and the write counts prior to block
failure.
Write Statistics (in tabular and graph form) - BiTMICRO-specific command is
used to generate performance statistics on the number of writes for the
E-Disk SSD. Statistics include the incremental write count and total write
count.
Disk geometry - Returns to the host memory-related physical characteristics
of the E-Disk SSD. Examples of returned parameters are Board count, Flash
device count, Flash physical size and Flash Physical page size.
Disk Inquiry - This command shows the basic and vital information of the
device such as Product Number, Serial Number, Firmware version and other
useful information.

E-Disk® Analyzer
The E-Disk® Analyzer (EDA) is a Flash Analysis Development System that
emulates and tests flash memory in solid-state flashdrives. It is a
versatile tool that is used by our hardware, manufacturing, firmware
application and field engineers in all phases of the E-Disk® flashdrives"
lifecycle. Even customers will be able to benefit from using EDA as they are
able to modify E-Disk® user- programmable features, monitor its performance
and statistics and upgrade E-Disk® flashdrives" firmware to the latest
version.
The EDA is also key to diagnosing even the most complex problems in our
laboratories and in the field and has therefore given BiTMICRO® competitive
advantage in the area of customer support and satisfaction. EDA has the
following functionalities:
Download Microcode - allows the user to upgrade to the latest
microcode version
Format - performs low level format
Security Erase - initiates, runs, and verifies full and
irretrievable data security erase functionality of the E-Disk® securErase®
firmware utility
Monitor Cache - monitors write/read cache performance
Configure - defines user-programmable parameters for performance
and reliability preferences
Report on Write Statistics - generates I/O write and performance
statistics
Report on Defect Data - reports all defective Logical Block
Addresses
Reset Drive - performs SCSI bus reset
The lightweight version of E-Disk® Analyzer is available for download by all
registered BiTMICRO® customers from the Technical Support page. A tailored
version of the software is also made available to select customers with
specialized E-Disk® flashdrives" features.
